MAN ON THE STREETS:  Last month I asked if you sickos could think of any celebs who killed themselves.  Here is a list of 5.

Don Cornelius-  The host and creator of Soul Train took his own life at the age of 75 after years of pain and seizures caused by congenital deformity in his cerebral arteries.

Kurt Cobain- He’s been on our list before but he is one of the most famous people to ever punch his own ticket.  (Harsh?  What?)

Cleopatra-  Yes the queen of Egypt.  She died after making a snake bite her.

Vincent van Gogh- pulled a Cobain.  I mean shot himself.  Long before it was even cool.

Adolf Hitler-  Another famous self-inflicted gunshot ‘victim’.  Killed himself to avoid capture by American soldiers.

Next Month– It’s reader’s choice.  You guys decide the topic and let me know.  If not, I’ll just make shit up like usual.

LEADERBOARD:  Same as last month as far as ranking, but I want to give a nod to Bert– she had two hits in June with Ray Bradbury and just yesterday with Yitzhak Shamir.  Combined with her Robin Gibbs hit in May she now has a total of 20 pts!  Look out front-runners, we have a Contender.

MAN ON THE STREET: So last month I asked about celebrity death rumors.  Surprise surprise I got nada from my faithful followers.  I’ll just give a list off the top of my head.

Jackie Chan.  Every other year I hear that some crazy-ninja-ass-kicking-but it backfired stunt finally ended Chan’s life.  But then he pops up in a V-8 commercial and the rumors fade.

Last year (I think), some websites and news sources (even some credible ones) announced that Jon Bon Jovi died.  But just like “You Give Love a Bad Name’, he popped back up again when we least expected it and reminded the world we will probably never be rid of him or his… music.

Another rock star- Brett Michaels was touch and go over the last few years.  But like his ever-present blue bandanna, he probably isn’t going anywhere for a while.  Hell, he just started a new line of clothing for dogs, available at Petsmart.  Whoo-hoo.  I wish him all the death he can handle.  Wait, I meant success. Seriously. Success.  I don’t begrudge a dude whose fame came from one awesome song 30 years ago who, when that ship starts to sink, launches a clothing line for dogs.  I’ll write my own power ballad.  What rhymes with ‘every douche-bag has a gimmick’?

My favorite- Abe Vigoda.  I’ve had Abe on every death pool I’ve ever been in. Every year I hear he died only to find out he hasn’t and that his eyebrows have grown even bushier.  I hope you live forever Abe, if only to keep me on my toes.

That’s all I can think of for now.  Next month is August and I’m getting married.  Lets see if you guys know of any celebs who have also killed themselves.  Didn’t see that comin’, did ya? Outta nowhere!  Even if you guys don’t get it, I still made myself laugh!

MAN ON THE STREETS:  Last month I asked about celebrities who have caused death. (Murder, accident, whatever-you name it.)  Rina and Ellen both chimed in, thanks girls!

Laura Bush: Yes GW’s ol’lady!  Seems like marrying a total dip shit and all around fuck stick wasn’t her only mistake in life.  When she was 17 she ran a stop sign and crashed into another car killing the driver, who happened to be one of her classmates. (On a side note, Matthew Broderick also crashed into someone while driving in Ireland.  The other driver died and Broderick got a $175 fine.  Singer Brandy also killed someone by crashing into them.)

Don King:  The fight promoter and one time leader of a gambling ring actually killed two people in his younger days.  One he shot, the other he stomped to death. SO that crazy hair isn’t a fashion statement after all.  It’s more of a warning– “Stay back, muthafucka.”

Sid Vicious killed his lover Nancy by stabbing her while high on heroin.

Keith Moon ran over his  chauffeur and bodyguard outside of a pub in England while fleeing from skinheads.

Ted Kennedy also crashed a car but he hit water.  He got out and swam to safety but his female companion wasn’t so lucky, she never got out of the submerged car.  Kennedy turned himself in the nex day to police. He was given a 2-month suspended jail sentence.

Okay, June’s here.  Remember a few months back, there was a rumor that Jon Bon Jovi died.  Not true.  Can you guys think of any other celebrity death rumors?  Let me know.

FUN FACTS: Here is a list of strange deaths throughout history.  Thanks neatorama dot com!

Austrian Hans Steininger was famous for having the world’s longest beard (it was 4.5 feet or nearly 1.4 m long) and for dying because of it. One day in 1567, there was a fire in town and in his haste Hans forgot to roll up his beard. He accidentally stepped on his beard, lost balance, stumbled, broke his neck and died!

Allan Pinkerton, famous for creating the Pinkerton detective agency and developing investigative techniques such as surveilling a suspect and doing undercover work, died of an infection after biting his tongue when he slipped on a sidewalk!

One more for you: Famous Tennessee whiskey distiller, Jack Daniel,  decided to come in to work early one morning in 1911. He wanted to open his safe but couldn’t remember the combination. In anger, Daniel kicked the safe and injured his toe, which later developed an infection that killed him!

MAN ON THE STREETS:  Last month I asked you guys to tell me of any Hollywood curses you might now of.  Serina sent me a few and was a huge help.  Here are a list of 5 intriguing curses and their victims:

The Superman Curse: Bad things happen to the men who play the Man Of Steel. George Reeves was found dead days before his wedding with a gunshot wound to the head. Christopher Reeve was paralized in a horse riding accident.  Lee Quigley, who played Supes as an infant, died at age 14 from huffing. Other people involved in tales of Superman have also been cursed.

The 27 Club.  Over 40 musicians have died at the age of 27.  We’ve talked about this curse before, but I thought I’d share it again. Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin and, recently, Amy Winehouse.

Some people say that people who work with Billy Bob Thornton are cursed.  Here’s a list of folks who met an early demise after working with him: J.T. Walsh, heart attack 54, Jim Varney, lung cancer 50, John Ritter 54, Warren Zevon lung cancer 56, Patrick Swayze cancer 57, Bernie Mac pnemonia 50, and Heath Ledger 28.  Fucking weird!
