If you haven’t guessed it, there is a certain running theme here at It’s Like That Studios. We might not know what we’re doing and maybe it shows, but hey, we’re gonna have fun doing it.

We thought we’d take that theme to the ultimate level.

Every month we will highlight a new artist and their take on our theme. It can be anything from cute to crass. Rated G to R, as long as it involves a monkey (apes, gorillas and the occasional orangutan are acceptable as well) trying it’s absolute best to woo a football and eventually get down to business.  You know what I’m talking about … getting it on … bumping uglies… slapping skins (pig skins that is! Ha, I kill me!).  You get the idea.

It’s that time again, folks.  Time for a new Primate of the Month.

September 1st—-Game Day!  I thought I’d treat all the Husker fans who follow with a little homage to the game.  This monkey still loves his ball, but he loves the game just as much!

My good friend, and cohort in Little Sister– Rudi Suscipto, pencilled this piece.  Colors by Katrina Joyner once again.  Her tireless effort and eagerness to jump onto any project has made her my ‘go-to’ colorist.  Feel free to drop me a line and I can put you in touch with either of these two wonderful artists.  You’ll see more of both of them in our upcoming book Mixtape Volume #1.
